First winter leagues a big success!

The first ever Over the Net Tennis League season was a huge success. The competition brought together just under 30 players from several different clubs. Challenging weather conditions throughout the winter made it tricky at times, but many players still managed to complete the full schedule. A big congratulations to all competitors. Each and every one of you put in an amazing effort!

The Junior League was hugely popular, with an impressive level of competition. The league was eventually won by Freddie Moore. His season long battle with Oliver Capewell for the top spot ended with the two players ended the season separated by just 3 games (103 to 106).

The Singles League was dominated by a Ben Drummond, who’s eagerness to play was felt by all. Finishing all of his matches with several weeks to spare, he topped the table with 95 points, winning all nine matches played.

Six teams competed in the Doubles League, helping them to prepare for the start of the summer tennis season. Winners Ben and Nick certainly had their eye in from the start, winning all 10 of their encounters.
